FAQs
What type of wrinkle relaxers do you use? (Hint: premium only)
At The Brightwood, we use only premium products: Botox and Dysport. Both are trusted, extensively studied neuromodulators with decades of clinical data behind them. We do not use lower cost alternatives or newer products without the same depth of research, safety history, and proven results.
What is the downtime? Can I go back to work afterwards?
Yes. Wrinkle relaxers require minimal to no downtime. You may notice temporary redness or minor swelling at injection sites, which typically resolves within the hour. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and inversions for 12 hours post-treatment to reduce the risk of bruising or moving product.
When can I expect to see results? How long do results last?
Most patients notice results within 3–5 days, with full effect at 2 weeks. Results typically last 3–4 months, depending on the individual and the treatment area.
When should I start getting wrinkle relaxers?
There’s no single right answer. Many patients begin as a preventive measure; others come in later to address existing lines. We’ll help you think through timing based on your face and your goals, not a formula.
Can I receive wrinkle relaxer treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We do not perform injectable treatments during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Please let us know at the time of booking.
Visit us when you're ready—we'd love to help you with your postpartum beauty journey.
What areas can be treated?
Forehead, between the brows, crow’s feet, brow area, bunny lines, lip lines, chin dimpling, jowl area, masseters, neck (Nefertiti lift), and overall facial balancing.
Are there pre-treatment guidelines?
We recommend avoiding blood-thinning medications and supplements (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E) for a few days prior to your appointment, as these can increase bruising risk.
Are there post-treatment guidelines?
Avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas for 4 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, heat (saunas, steam rooms), and inversions for 12 hours. Do not lie flat for 4 hours post-treatment.
