The Big Day: Wedding Skin Prep
At The Brightwood, we approach bridal skin with a timeline, a tailored plan, and a clear outcome. Whether you're a bride, groom, mother-of, or guest in every group photo, this isn’t about chasing glow. It’s about building skin that looks polished, hydrated, and structurally supported from every angle.
Here's how we think about wedding skin prep — and what’s actually worth your time.
Six to 12 Months Out: Treat the Foundation
This is the moment to get serious. We’re addressing skin quality, not just surface glow.

Start here:
- Sculptra for facial support and collagen stimulation. It won’t give you the immediate plump of filler, but over time, it rebuilds structure and creates that naturally lifted, collagen-rich skin.
- Laser resurfacing or targeted chemical peels to address pigment, scarring, or texture. These are effective treatments that may require recovery and consistency — which is why we don’t leave them to the last minute.
“This phase is about creating quality skin that looks incredible with makeup and photographs beautifully,” says Dr. Lindsay Dellavalle.
One to Three Months Out: Define and Refine
Now we start dialing things in. This is where precision pays off.
- Botox –– to smooth lines. It’s subtle but significant — and gives skin that refined, smooth finish under makeup. Here we’ve already taken note of when it looks best in the cycle and have scheduled this appointment accordingly.
- Strategic filler — placed sparingly in the chin, jawline, or midface — can subtly sculpt and photograph beautifully without looking done.
- Diamond Glow – exfoliate, cleanse and hydrate for a great glow.
One to Two Weeks Out: Glow Up
This is not the time for risk. No peels. No new products. No major treatments.
Book in for:
- AquaGold Microinfusion, our most requested bridal treatment. It delivers a filtered-skin finish with zero downtime. Think glassy texture, even tone, and that elusive lit-from-within look.
- Stick to your regular routine
- Hydrate. Sleep.
- Book the treatments previously discussed as the cherry on top before the big day
Day Of: Minimal Intervention, Maximum Impact
Let your makeup artist do their thing — but they’ll thank you if the canvas is ready. (And yes, they’ll notice.)
It’s Not Just About the Wedding Day
Smart brides (and grooms) are prepping for engagement photos, the bridal shower, bachelorette, wedding and honeymoon. The goal isn’t one-day skin — it’s a long-game that carries you through the entire season.
